A severely burned firefighter hopes a last minute $5 million settlement in his case helps other injured firefighters. More than 70 percent of Daniel Lyon's body was burned in the deadly Twisp wildland fire three years ago. Lyon walked into the state Supreme Court Tuesday with his attorneys knowing he had already won. His case won’t have to be heard by the justices after a tentative settlement was reached. “It feels good because the case has just been a huge part of not being able to fully live a normal life, I guess you could say,” said Lyon. It stems from the 2015 fire at Twisp in Eastern Washington. The winds unexpectedly made a sudden turn, trapping Lyon and three of his fellow firefighters. They were overrun by flames. The three friends didn’t make it.
