Crews are wrapping up suppression repair activities on multiple fires burning in northern Wyoming.
According to a Friday morning release from the multi-agency Southwest Area Incident Management Team, the five fires in the region are now mainly contained.
The Flat Rock Fire is now 97% contained, the Remington Fire is 88% contained, the Constitution Fire is 95% contained, the House Draw Fire is 94% contained and the Silver Spoon Fire is 92% contained. “Southwest Area Incident Management Team 5 is grateful to the communities for all the support we have received during our time assisting in the suppression of these fast-moving fires,” they said. According to the governor’s office, the fires have burned some 629,000 acres in total so far and have affected a large amount of private land.
