Firefighters from as far north as Sturgeon Bay and as far south as Mishicot were on the scene of a barn fire at Ebert Enterprises, a large farm near Algoma, on Thursday afternoon. The fire in a barn filled with straw was threatening other structures on the farm, which is the site of the 2017 Farm Technology Days, including the homestead and at least one other building at N6939 County D in the town of Pierce. Fire departments were assisting Algoma from Kewaunee, Luxemburg, Casco, Sturgeon Bay, Brussels-Union-Gardner, Mishicot and Two Creeks among other communities.
