VIDEO: A local fire department is pushing its limits of operation and looking for public support to help build a new station. This November, the Osseo Fire Department is asking voters to pass a $2.5 million referendum for a new fire station. “We’re packed in here,” Osseo Fire Chief Nels Gunderson explained. “You got to get one truck out before you can get to another truck; we're crossing the paths of those trucks.” Gunderson said the station is operating in conditions that make it barely legal and safety is a huge concern. “We've had some close calls and we want to keep it that way,” he said. “Firefighters getting backed over is a pretty high percentage of where they get hurt.”
