Hypothetical situation: A shooting incident with mass casualties and a shooter on the premises takes place in Sun Prairie. Would you as a public safety officer want to either wait to get the victims medical aid, or get them medical aid as quickly as possible? Thinking about the unthinkable, Sun Prairie’s emergency services have been participating in “warm zone” training at the former Fuzzy’s Liquor on A Street recently — conducting the third of four training sessions last Friday afternoon. Police Chief Patrick Anhalt, Fire Chief Christopher Garrison, and Emergency Medical Service Director Kep Anderson all observed the training that involved members of Sun Prairie EMS, Sun Prairie Fire Department and Sun Prairie police officers.
