VIDEO: Local law enforcement, medical staff, and firefighters were honored during a church service Wednesday night in Alma. Buffalo County Sheriff Mike Schmidtknecht says the St. Lawrence Catholic Church held a prayer service in support of local heroes. Schmidtknecht says he's appreciative for the communities' support. "It is always nice to have the local community wanting to express their gratitude and prayers to help the officers, help the fire services and help medical services in what we do", says Schmidtknecht. Schmidtknecht says a church in Mondovi will have a Sunday service dedicated to local law enforcement later this month.
