Racine Police: Victim dies after crashing vehicle into pond near 21st and Green Bay Road

VIDEO: The Racine Police Department has confirmed that the victim in the car into pond accident has died from his injuries. The Racine Fire Department was dispatched to the pond near 21st and Green Bay Road for a report of a vehicle in the water. The first call came in at 7:48 p.m. and the first diver made it into the water at 8:02 p.m. The victim was extricated from the car after 7 minutes and taken to a local hospital. There is currently no word on their condition. According to the Batallion Chief, there were reports of the vehicle driving erratically over a hill into the pond. A firefighter was in the area, saw what happened and entered the water right away to see if he could get the victim out of the car.
