A firefighter was hurt Friday night while battling a fire in an apartment building in Kewaskum. The Kewaskum Fire Department was called to the eight-unit building at 222 Brantz Drive just after 7:30 p.m. Friday. Heavy smoke and fire was coming from the second floor of the northeast corner of the building. It took three hours to get the fire under control. The Red Cross said it is assisting several families -- 10 adults and five children -- after the fire forced them from their homes. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
