VIDEO: A woman is in the hospital Friday morning after a fire broke out at her home in Suamico. The fire broke out around 12:45 a.m. Friday morning on the 13,000 block of Velp Ave. When firefighters arrived on scene flames were visible but they found everyone had made it out of the home. Crews were able to put the fire out within about half hour. The Chief of the Suamico Fire Department says no firefighters were hurt but the homeowner did suffer from some burns and is recovering at a local hospital.
