This past summer, Evergreen Park in Sheboygan looked like a scene taken right out of a James Dean movie. Men in leather jackets and slicked back hair leaned against perfectly polished hot rods and chatted up women with bright red lips and polka dot skirts. But the real stars of the show were of the furrier variety. Rescue dogs of all shapes and sizes donned their best bandannas, or their uniforms if they were service dogs, and waited with shuffling paws and tail-wagging anticipation to be paired with a model and have their moment in the spotlight.
