Around 800 people attend the Reedsburg Fire Departments chili luncheon and Harvest Fest Craft Show. However, Reedsburg Fire Chief Craig Douglas noticed a drop in attendance Oct. 7 at the Reedsburg fire station. Douglas said the weather and other events in Reedsburg area, such as Fermentation Fest and the Hill and Valley Exploration Tour, could have affected the turnout at the event. “We do our thing, but I also understand we have some competition,” Douglas said. “There’s other craft fairs around the area. We’re not as busy here serving chili this year so I think the weather has affected that.”
