The Beaver Dam Fire Station was full of activity Saturday morning with staff dashing in and out of fire trucks, children operating fire hoses and retired firefighters trading old stories in the garage. “It’s good to see the retired guys show up,” Beaver Dam Fire Chief Alan Mannel said. The Beaver Dam Fire Department celebrated 150 years of service with an open house at the Beaver Dam Municipal Building, 205 S. Lincoln Ave. Mannel said about 200 people took part in station tours, safe fire extinguisher usage for adults and teens, CPR/emergency medical demonstrations and refreshments.
