A car burst into flames after being hit by a train in the village of Richfield, the Washington County Sheriff's Office said. The crash happened at 5:31 p.m. Wednesday on Bark Lake Road east of Scenic Road in the Village of Richfield. Deputies said a caller told them the car had been pushed 2,000 feet from the railroad crossing and was located behind a residential subdivision. The first responding deputies found the car fully engulfed in flames, still attached to the train. Once Richfield firefighters were able to knock the fire down, they determined that the car was unoccupied.
