Four people are homeless following a Tuesday night fire on the city's east side. Firefighters were called just after 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for a report of smoke and flames coming from a home at 1738 Farlin Ave., according to a Green Bay Metro Fire Department news release. When crews arrived at the home, they were met with "heavy fire shooting from windows on two sides of the building." Four people — one adult and three children — were home during the fire. All were able to get out of the house before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but one of the people that was inside the home when the fire started told officials a candle had been burning in the area where the fire broke out.
