A four-car detached garage that contained living quarters and vehicles is considered a total loss after a fire Wednesday afternoon. Just after 1:30 p.m., fire crews were called to N9571 Townline Road in Fond du Lac County for a fire that was contained to a large detached garage, according to a press release from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Department. When crews arrived they found that all occupants of the garage and neighboring home had quickly escaped and were accounted for. Meanwhile, the fire was contained to the garage and still burning, the sheriff's department said. Efforts were made by multiple fire agencies on scene to save the structure and the contents inside, however, it was completely destroyed and considered a total loss, the sheriff's department said.
