VIDEO: A paddleboarder who passed out had to be rescued Wednesday night from Upper Nemahbin Lake in the village of Summit. Firefighters said when they arrived at about 5:45 p.m., the male was unconscious in the water. Western Lakes firefighters said two people were paddleboarding on the lake when one of them passed out. The other person jumped out and called for help. Rescuers pulled the victim from the lake. "We remind everybody it's good that you're with a friend, so you have someone to call for if there's an emergency. Wear your life jackets. We have 23 lakes here in our district, so there's a lot of water incidents," Western Lakes Fire Department Chief Brad Bowen said. Firefighters said the two people were wearing life jackets.
