The snowy weather didn't keep community members from supporting a local fire department Sunday morning. The Rock Creek Fire Department held its annual pancake feed fundraiser. It took place at the Rock Falls Town Hall. The menu included pancakes, sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Firefighters served around 100 people during Sunday's breakfast. In addition to the cost of the meal, free-will donations were also accepted to support the volunteer fire department. "We use proceeds from this to help offset the tax revenue to help pay for equipment we need. We greatly appreciate all the help we get," said Chief Jason Wiley. This pancake feed has helped raise money for the Rock Creek Fire Department for approximately the last five years. Currently, the department has 12 volunteer firefighters.
