A storage building in Pleasant Prairie was damaged by fire Wednesday afternoon. Passers-by noticed smoke coming from the building in the 12700 block of Green Bay Road at about 1:35 p.m. Assistant Chief David Wilkinson of the Pleasant Prairie Fire Department said the department received multiple 911 calls. Wilkinson said the first firefighters who arrived found smoke coming from building’s north side. He said the building, used for storage of household materials, was unoccupied at the time. “We got the fire extinguished quickly,” Wilkinson said. He said the department called in mutual aid from other fire departments because there were multiple emergency calls at the same time.
