A worker died Wednesday after a fall at an under construction Amazon facility. It happened shortly after 10 a.m. at a construction site in the 9700 block of S. 13th Street in Oak Creek. A 911 caller reported the victim was operating a piece of equipment on an upper floor and drove the equipment out an open window. Firefighters said the man fell 30-40 feet. He was taken to Froedtert Hospital and pronounced dead. Investigators identified the victim as Zachary Dassow, 24, of Kansasville. Video from News Chopper 12 showed a mangled four-wheeler in a taped off area near the side of the building. Oak Creek police, the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will investigate the workplace death. An autopsy will be conducted Thursday.
