Menomonee Falls took little action to deal with some broken fire equipment and not enough firefighters Monday night. Two weeks ago, Menomonee Falls Fire Department did not have any working fire engines. During a special meeting last week, the department said it would not have enough firefighters in a couple weeks. Monday night, the village board approved buying a new fire truck to replace the one that was totaled in an accident last summer. It will still take six months for the new truck to arrive. Menomonee Falls currently only has three trucks for five stations. "As stands at this very moment there are two fire stations without fire engines. That means there are two fire stations without fire engines. That means citizens that live around those stations have to wait for a fire truck from another community or a fire truck from a further away station to respond to their incident at their home," said Kevin Myers, president of Menomonee Falls Professional Firefighters Local 3879.
