A rolling exhibit highlighting the Sept. 11, 2001 attack on the World Trade Center will visit Waupun June 29 and 30, as part of Celebrate Waupun.
The 911 Never Forget Mobile Exhibit is a tribute to the New York and New Jersey firefighters, police officers and port authority officers who lost their lives during the initial response when the towers fell.
Since the exhibit debuted in 2013, this is only its second visit to Wisconsin, according to Waupun Fire Chief B. J. DeMaa. The exhibit will be open from noon to 8 p.m. each day, and located at Tanner Park, 503 E. Spring Street in Waupun.
"This exhibit brings components of Ground Zero right to our backyard and is a great educational tool in making sure we never forget the tragedy that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001," DeMaa said.
