These are just a few things that members of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue train for in their day-to-day work.On Thursday, however, this reporter — along with a group of journalists — got to try her hand at being firefighters through simulated versions of these incidents.
Under the hot summer sun, fire/rescue members and guests met Thursday morning at the city’s new Public Safety Training Center. The $4.5 million training center has been in the works for more than five years, and in September 2018, the city broke ground atop 25 acres of land off North Rolling Meadows Drive.
