A massive fire burned through all three floors of an apartment building on Milwaukee's lower East Side.
Crews were called to North Farwell and Webster Place around 2:45 a.m. Monday. Fire officials say firefighters spent two hours inside the apartment building, battling flames burning through all of its three floors.
Firefighters went through each unit to make sure everyone was out safely.
As of 6:15 a.m., crews were still on scene. Fire officials say they were still putting out a flames in an attached garage. They had it under control but not completely out.
No residents or firefighters were hurt.
Fire officials say they don't know what started the blaze. They told 12 News that it's not necessarily common for a fire to be on all three floors of a building, but that doesn't mean it's suspicious. They plan to investigate.
