In Oshkosh, it was the good guys vs. the good guys Wednesday afternoon.
The Oshkosh Fire Department, and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office faced-off in the Boots vs. Badges charity basketball game.
But for some, being on the court was foreign to them. “I know nothing about basketball!” said Winnebago County Sheriff John Matz who was also the Badges’ head coach for the game Wednesday.
It was Superhero Night at Menominee Nation Arena, but it was these local heroes who showed off their basketball skills, or lack thereof, on the same court the pros do.
There’d be not future in professional basketball anytime soon for these men, though.
“I think their days have passed them by,” Matz said.
