De Pere Fire Department says crews were called to a home on Bunker Hill Drive. De Pere Fire Department's Assistant Chief Rich Annen said the fire happened around 7:30 Monday night. Smoke was visible when the first truck arrived on scene. Firefighters say they also saw flames coming from the back of the home. Annen said, "They were able to do a little more of an investigation and found out that fire had originated in the basement." Annen also said, "They were able to make an aggressive interior fire attack. The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes after the arrival of fire units." No one was injured in the fire. Firefighters believe a dryer started the fire.
