A Trig's baking and trucking facility in Rhinelander is a partial loss following a fire Sunday morning.
A statement released by Trig's parent company, T.A. Solberg Co., to WAOW says the trucking and recycling portion of the building is considered destroyed, and that the fire broke out in the recycling portion of the building.
The central bakery was largely unharmed except for some smoke and water damage. Officials with the Rhinelander Fire Department said they made saving that portion of the building a priority upon arrival.
"We were able to protect the bakery side of it, and probably a third of the recycling center," said Brett Buchmann of the Rhinelander Fire Department in an interview with WSAU News. "But, we had to get heavy equipment in there to actually tear apart the recycling bundles because they were smoldering. So, we had to demolish the building in order to put out the fire completely.
