For the second time this month, a Milwaukee playground was lit on fire.
The second fire happened on Saturday at a playground in Smith Park near 34th and Sheridan.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office said when deputies got to the scene around 9:29 p.m., firefighters had already put out the fire. The damage is extensive, with charred plastic and parts of the playground destroyed.
Last week, two teens were charged with setting a playground on fire earlier this month in Butterfly Park. One mom who lives across the street from Smith Park said she stopped bringing her two-year-old to the playground because it has become a hang out for teenagers. She said she doesn't even want to see the damage the fire left behind.
