Firefighters extinguished a house fire in Marathon County Tuesday night. Mosinee Fire Chief Stephen Haas said crews responded to the blaze around 8:30 p.m. on Lone Pine Lane near Knowlton. Haas said there was heavy fire coming from the house when crews arrived, and it was under control by 10 p.m. Haas said there were no injuries reported, and no one was in the house. Haas said authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
