The Green Bay Fire Department has kept its stations largely locked down during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
It's actually been about ten weeks now since the Green Bay Fire Department first started taking steps to protect themselves against COVID-19.
"We immediately kind of locked down the fire station once we first got wind of this thing," Green Bay Fire Chief Dave Litton told WTAQ.
Green Bay Fire Chief Dave Litton says there are a number of steps that have been taken to keep personnel safe. Firefighters and EMTs are limiting contact between coworkers.
"We have, as much as possible, limited the comingling of our personnel," Litton said. "Of course, we also started to use personal protective equipment."
Fire calls have stayed steady since the 'Safer at Home' order was issued, and ambulance calls are actually down.
