Their jobs are among the most dangerous available, but more firefighters die by suicide than by the dangers of their jobs. It's a startling statistic Milwaukee firefighters are all too familiar with. Brent Jones, a 20 year veteran of the Milwaukee Fire Department, almost became part of that group several times while dealing with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder. "A lot of times you as a first responder," shared Jones. "You go to sleep and you see some of the scenes you went out on." Jones said he wouldn't wish the images he's seen on anyone else. He said to understand what he lives with someone would have to go to great lengths. "You would have to think of the worst thing that’s happened to you in your life or that you’ve seen and replay that for 20 years," he said.
