The Chippewa Falls Fire Chief says there was injury from the fire and the person was taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. The fire is believed to be cooking related according to the preliminary investigation. According to the Red Cross, there are 8 apartment units that are impacted by the fire and 24 people have been displaced. The Red Cross says it is helping four residents in four units that were displaced. The Red Cross Disaster Team is providing residents with assistance for temporary lodging and immediate needs as well as basic health insurance resources like prescription refills. The Chippewa Falls Police Department and the Chippewa Falls Fire and Emergency Services are responding to a fire in Chippewa Falls. The fire is in the 800 block of Bridgewater Ave and people are asked to avoid the area for now.
