The La Crosse Fire Department is dealing with the impact of the coronavirus. Staff are isolating from one another to avoid a potential spread of the virus. And some rescue crews are operating 24 hours a day at the La Crosse Center as well as Central and Logan High Schools to help limit contact between firefighters. But Staff aren’t just focusing on the the health of each other. “We’re sanitizing everything, sometimes more than twice a day. When crews come in in the morning, they’re going through a check-in station at each entry,” said La Crosse Fire Department Assistant Chief Jeff Murphy.
