A teen struck while marching in the Waukesha Christmas Parade is back home with his family. Erick Tiegs, 16, returned home on Tuesday. The Waukesha South High School sophomore was playing trombone with the school marching band when a driver in an SUV drove through the parade, striking Tiegs and his bandmates. Six people died. More than 60 others were injured. WISN 12 first spoke to Erick's family on Monday, as volunteer crews were building a ramp for his homecoming. On Tuesday, the Caledonia Fire Department escorted Erick home with a fire truck and sirens blasting. His father, Donald Tiegs, is a Caledonia firefighter. Erick's extended family was also home to greet him. "What's it like to have your son back home?" WISN 12's Caroline Reinwald asked. "It's a really good feeling, it was an exciting day. There were tears, but happy tears today," Tiegs said.
