The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) is investigating the circumstances surrounding a house fire in Fredonia Saturday night, Dec. 4, that rekindled early Sunday, Dec. 5, causing authorities to re-put out the fire.
Authorities say first responders reported to a residential fire around 9:02 p.m. near Washington and Wilson in Fredonia.
Deputies reportedly observed heavy smoke and flames coming from the rear of the house and with the assistance of multiple area fire departments, the fire was extinguished.
Officials say the home suffered severe damage.
Reports show that all occupants of the home had evacuated safely and sustained no injuries, however, two house pets were unaccounted for.
OCSO says that all units cleared the scene on Sunday morning at approximately 12:47 a.m.
