A Grant county family has lost another child after a house fire over the weekend.
With the death of 14-year-old Barbara Hurley, the house fire in Blue River is now the deadliest in Grant county, in Sheriff Nate Dreckman's memory.
"I don't know if we've ever had this many, we've had a few over the years that I've been here but not with three," he said.
Dreckman says investigators from the state Fire Marshal's office were still on scene Monday, trying to find out exactly how the fire started.
"We don't have any reason to believe that it was suspicious in nature or anything like that," he said. "They just really want to really narrow where it started and why."
Sheriff Dreckman says this tragedy really hits home for him.
"I think as a father myself with two daughters, my heart just aches for the family I mean I can't imagine going through something like that for any of them," he said. "Gor Mr. Brown who perished in the fire too, his family is suffering as well."
