Merrill fire crews responded to a call at around 2:30 a.m. this morning to find the structure and the building next to it completely engulfed in flames.
An all call was put out to all personnel off-duty and other local fire departments, including Wausau, Pine River, and Corning Fire Departments, and Tomahawk EMS.
Crews conducted an active rescue once on the scene to rescue a resident trapped on the second floor of the West building, where the fire originally started.
Fire officials told News 9 that there were no injuries and the few occupants who were home got out uninjured.
