State Representative Calvin Callahan (R-Tomahawk) announced on Thursday, Sept. 23 that his office is seeking nominations for the 35th Assembly District’s 2021 First Responder of the Year Award.
The 35th Assembly District includes all of Lincoln County and portions of Langlade, Marathon, Oneida, and Shawano Counties.
“Our dedicated first responders, including police officers, fire fighters, and EMS personnel, work selflessly every day to keep our families and communities safe,” Callahan stated in a release. “This award will highlight one individual from each Assembly district who embodies that dedication and selflessness and recognize them at an upcoming State Assembly Floor Session at the end of October.”
Callahan said an individual could be nominated for “a specific heroic action, a significant professional achievement, certain community involvement over the course of their work, his/her body of work over time, or his/her length of service.”
