Oshkosh assistant fire chief to retire after more than 3 decades of service

After 32 years with the Oshkosh Fire Department, Assistant Chief John Ziemer is set to retire Friday. Ziemer has held several different roles with the Oshkosh Fire Department and city throughout his career. There will be a gathering Friday at 10 a.m. to celebrate Ziemer's years of service and his retirement at Station 15, 101 Court St. in Oshkosh.
