The victim in a fatal motorcycle crash last week has been identified as Eugene Faust, a 2021 graduate of Union Grove High School and a current volunteer firefighter. Faust, 18, of Union Grove, died July 14 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, where he was taken after crashing on his motorcycle the night before on State Highway 11.
Police said Faust was not wearing a motorcycle helmet when he collided with a car shortly before 10 p.m. between Sylvania Avenue and 56th Road in the Town of Yorkville.
The driver of the Nissan Rogue, who was not injured, was described as a 43-year-old woman from Sturtevant.
The traffic incident remains under investigation.
Colleagues at the Union Grove-Yorkville Fire Department posted that Faust was proud to be a member of the fire department, and that he was an active part of the team.
