Crews from two Chippewa County fire departments are battling a fire at a farm on County Highway C in the township of Cooks Valley.
A firefighter on the scene said a large farm shed burned down, with only the concrete lower walls and foundation still standing.
Fire departments from Bloomer and Tilden responded Monday afternoon, along with Eagle Point and the Chippewa Fire District.
Bloomer Fire Department Training Officer Mark Schwartz said the structure used to be a milking barn, and this isn’t the first time it’s been ablaze.
"The structure already burned a few years ago, so what was remaining was fully engulfed when we got here," Schwartz said.
