The Cottage Grove Fire Department announced on Facebook that firefighter Nate Walker passed away Sunday morning after a long battle with PTSD.
Lt. Jason Kudma said Walker was a dedicated husband, father, firefighter and veteran who always put his community and family first.
Funeral arrangement and additional support for Walker's wife, Katie, and two young children will be shared once details are available.
