North Shore firefighters battled a garage fire that spread to the attached house on N. Lydell Avenue in Whitefish Bay early Tuesday, May 30.
The initial call for the fire came in around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday. When crews arrived on the scene, they found fire coming from the garage and spreading to the first floor kitchen and second floor soffit. Crews also had to contend with power lines that burned through and were on the ground in the rear of the home. There were no injuries to the residents or our personnel. The exact cause remains under investigation, but is not believed to be suspicious.
The preliminary damage estimate is upwards of $150,000.
