PHOTOS: A Merrill house is a total loss after a Thursday morning fire.
At about 8:15 a.m. Thursday, the Merrill Fire Department was dispatched to N3000 block of South End Road in the Town of Rock Falls for a house fire.
The owner was the sole person home at the time and he was outside and uninjured in the fire, according to a Facebook post from Merrill Fire Department. When firefighters arrived, the house was engulfed by fire, the post said.
The post also said:
No one was injured from the fire and the cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The American Red Cross and Merrill Firefighters’ Charities are assisting the owner with shelter and basic needs.
