The Clarksburg Fire Department responded to a house fire in Clarksburg on 214 Austin Avenue just after 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
According to Clarksburg Fire Chief Rick Scott, he said that one person died in the fire, along with some pets.
One man was found dead on the second floor, according to firefighters. Another man and a woman were able to escape the home, firefighters said.
The fire department is investigating the cause of the fire.
