Firefighters across Wood County now have their own training facility. In a collaborative effort between 13 different entities in Parkersburg, Vienna and Williamstown, a new training facility was dedicated Monday night. Firefighters lit a ceremonial first burn in the building after the dedication and worked together to put it out. The mayors of the three respective cities were there to officially open the tower. The new facility has been in the works for more than 30 years, and organizers say they can't wait to start using it. Dozens of fire fighters from the county attended the dedication to celebrate the milestone.
