Fire officials are continuing their investigation into a fatal two-alarm fire that broke out in Weirton early Sunday morning.
7News has learned that three people living inside the home died from the fire. One woman was found dead at the scene, and two males were taken to Weirton Medical Center where they were later pronounced dead.
"The building was total loss," said Jerry Shumate, Weirton's fire chief. "When we pulled up, there was flames coming out of all the windows, through the roof. So the house was fully involved upon our arrival."
Shumate says that at the moment, the incident appears to be an accidental fire, but the fire marshal's office is holding an investigation open.
