VIDEO: The Morgantown Police Department is investigating an arson incident that happened downtown. On April 12, 2019, at approximately 3 a.m., officers, along with the Morgantown Fire Department, responded to a reported fire at 235 High Street. The fire department extinguished the fire, but there was water and smoke damage to the building, as well as items of inventory that were burned and destroyed, according to a press release. Officers, along with the Morgantown Fire Marshal, are following up on several leads, according to the release. There is no word at this time on the total amount of damage to the building.
