The Mineral County Commission is one of three parties that have had a civil action case brought against them by Ridgeley resident Mike Taccino for the excessive noise level caused by a fire alarm mounted on a pole near his home. During the Tuesday morning meeting of the county commission, Drew Brubaker, county coordinator, announced the civil action was issued not only to the commission, but also to the Ridgeley Fire Department, and the fire chief of that department. Brubaker said, “The civil action has been forwarded to an attorney by the commission’s insurance company.” Taccino had on two occasions, with the last one in late June, brought his concern to the Mineral County Commission about the noise level of the Ridgeley VFD fire alarm. He had said at that time that coming before the commissioners was “my last-ditch effort.”
