A Jefferson County woman was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash in the Leetown area Sunday morning, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. Tiffany Colangelo, 25, who “reportedly was listed” as a Ranson resident, was a passenger in one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office. Two other people were injured, with one flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., with serious injuries, Sheriff Pete Dougherty said. A male passer-by pulled the driver, Dante McCarroll Jr., out of a burning Cadillac passenger car, but was unable to get Colangelo out because the car was engulfed in fire and there was heavy smoke, according to Dougherty and a news release from the sheriff’s office. Dougherty did not know if the passer-by was injured.
