Authorities say a West Virginia man has admitted to setting his mom’s house on fire two days before Thanksgiving. The state fire marshal’s office on Monday said 33-year-old Christopher M. Curia has been charged with first-degree arson for setting the blaze. Officials say Curia told investigators he set the fire at his mother’s house in Hepzibah on Nov. 26. No one was injured, but the fire caused $30,000 in damages. Curia was arrested and records show he is jailed at the North Central Regional Jail. It’s unclear whether he has yet hired an attorney.
